Bezel mock-ups, to scale
How researched square panels look butted together: 2 side by side, 2 stacked, and a 2×2 grid. Everything is drawn at one shared scale from real mm dimensions, so panels can be compared by eye.
"4-inch square" = 4-inch diagonal
A 4″ square panel is measured corner to corner. Each side is only ~2.83 in (~71.9 mm), not 4 in. Formula: side = N × 25.4 ÷ √2.
Ribbon / flex tail
Each panel has an orange tail (approx. 15–25 mm wide × 30–50 mm long) on its bottom edge. The tail must fold inside the enclosure and may prevent a borderless edge on that side. Tail size here is an estimate, not from datasheets.

Active area
Bezel
Flex tail (approx.)
- Combined sizes are outer outlines of the panels butted edge to edge with no gap, tails excluded. Seam = distance between the two active areas.
- Bezel per side is derived from datasheet/shop outline minus active area, assuming the active area is centred (real panels are often offset toward the flex edge). Where a vendor only gave a range, the midpoint is drawn.
- Panels with no published bezel are flagged "bezel unknown" and drawn with a dashed outline at active size only; their combined sizes are minimums (≥).
